The Windsor Medical Group is a partnership of highly specialised consultants, each an expert in their own field of women's health. For the first time, by establishing a partnership of consultants each with a particular speciality, they are offering a system of collaborative care - an unprecedented concept in Northern Ireland.  Depending on your particular problem your care will be assigned to the group member with specific expertise in that area. Dr David Hunter MD MRCOG
David Hunter is a graduate of Queen’s University Belfast (MB, BCh, BAO, 1992). He became a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) in 1998 and was awarded a Medical Doctorate (2004) and Honorary Clinical Lecturer’s position at Queen’s in 2007. He was a Clinical Fellow with the world leading Women’s Endoscopic Laser (WEL) foundation for two years. His specialist interests are endometriosis and menstrual dysfunction, investigation of recurrent miscarriage and conditions causing chronic pelvic pain. He established the benign gynaecology multidisciplinary team based at the Royal Victoria Hospital where he is the lead clinician for gynaecology services. He is widely published and retains an active interest in medical education and training.
 
Professor Neil McClure MD FRCOG
Neil McClure graduated from Queen’s University Belfast and is now Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology there and a consultant at the Royal Jubilee Maternity Service.  He has trained in infertility and endocrine medicine in both America and Australia.  He specialises in infertility, tubal surgery (including reversal of sterilisation) and fibroids.  He has over 150 publications and currently is Editor-in-Chief of the journal of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
 
Dr Geoff McCracken MRCOG
Geoff McCracken is a consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with special interests in advanced pelvic floor surgery and gynaecological cancer at Craigavon Area Hospital. He is a graduate of Queen’s University Belfast with honours in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He has spent two years training in advanced gynaecological surgery in Toronto, Canada, where he completed a two year clinical fellowship. He has a keen interest in academia, with numerous publications, international presentations and participation in postgraduate teaching.
 
Dr Keith Johnston MRCOG
Keith Johnston is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and Minimal Access Surgeon in Antrim Area Hospital.  Dr Johnston graduated with honours in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1995. His post graduate training was in Dublin and Northern Ireland before undertaking a two year advanced laparoscopic gynaecological surgical fellowship in Sydney, Australia. With numerous publications on many aspects of gynaecological surgery, he has also presented, trained and lectured extensively internationally. Areas of special interest include total laparoscopic hysterectomy and laparoscopic pelvic floor repair.
 

Our list of conditions treated is:

Early pregnancy scanning: bleeding, pain, recurrent miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, multiple pregnancy

Endometriosis: chronic pain, pain with intercourse, pain on bowel movement, menstrual or period pain, mid cycle pain

Family planning: coil insertion, hormonal methods, female sterilisation (both with keyhole and without abdominal incisions)

Hormone replacement therapy: flushes, sweats, poor sleep, poor mood, vaginal dryness, menopause, abnormal bleeding

Incontinence and Prolapse: urinary problems, stress incontinence, urinary frequency, recurrent infections, vaginal pessaries

Infertility: tubal disease, infections, polycystic ovaries, ovulation induction, endometriosis, male factor, reversal of sterilisation

Menstrual problems: infrequent or irregular periods, frequent bleeding, heavy or painful bleeding, bleeding between periods

Pelvic pain: endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), pelvic infection, ovarian cysts, adhesions

Pre menstrual syndrome: poor mood, bloating, breast pain

Sexual problems: pain with intercourse, low sex drive (or sexual desire), abnormal discharge, tightness or scarring following delivery

Screening and cancer: screening for cervical cancer, investigation of abnormal or inadequate smears, investigation of abnormal bleeding ovarian cysts

Vulval disorders: pain and irritation, ulceration, lichen sclerosus, vulval eczema, warts
