Mr Alistair Dick – MD FRCS
Graduated Queens University Belfast in 1990 with the degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery and Bachelor in the Art of Obstetrics with a higher degree of Doctorate of Medicine by thesis in 2000. After initially training in the Royal Victoria Hospital and Belfast Surgical training scheme and obtaining Fellowship exams in the Irish and Edinburgh Royal Colleges of Surgery in 1994, Higher surgical training in the speciality of Paediatric surgery was obtained through Children’s University Hospital, Dublin, Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick children, Dublin and the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children from 1997 – 2002.
A fellowship in paediatric laparoscopic surgery was undertaken in Brisbane Australia in 2002. Since returning to Belfast in 2003 is now the lead consultant for paediatric laparoscopic surgery and cancer surgery in the Belfast Hospitals Trust since 2005.
