Dr Robert Rauch BSc(Hons) MSc PhD CPsychol CSci AFBPsS

Robert Rauch is a Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist at Malone Medical Chambers, Belfast.  He specialises in the assessment, rehabilitation and long term management of the psychological and neuropsychological consequences of brain injury and other neurological conditions. 

Dr Rauch completed a First Degree in Psychology in 1984 and then spent 2 years as a researcher in psychopharmacology at the Institute of Psychiatry, London. He completed Clinical Psychology training at The University of Manchester in 1988.  He is a Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health Professions Council. He is also a Chartered Scientist and has held Chartered Psychologist status since 1989.

In 1993 he completed a PhD in The School of Psychology, Queen’s University Belfast. He was appointed Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist in 1995 and holds Full Practitioner Membership of the Division of Neuropsychology, The British Psychological Society.  Dr Rauch has published widely in peer reviewed scientific journals and has been a Guest Editor for the International Journal ‘NeuroRehabilitation’. From 2001-2004 he was Assistant Course Director/Research Co-ordinator, Clinical Psychology Training Course at Queen’s University, Belfast.

In 2004 Dr Rauch was appointed Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist at the Profound Brain Injury Unit, The Royal Hospital for Neurodisability, Putney, London. From 2005 – 2006 he was Acting Head, Department of Clinical Psychology at The Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability, London. He is currently Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist, Community Brain Injury Team Co-ordinator and a Lead Clinician with Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. Dr Rauch has acted as an expert witness since 1995. He accepts instructions from representatives of both Plaintiff and Defendant. Dr Rauch also has experience as a Single Joint Expert.
