Dr Deborah Walton BA (Hons), M.Sc, DClinPsy CPsychol

Deborah Walton is a Clinical Psychologist at Malone Medical Chambers. She is registered with the Health Professions Council; she is also a Chartered Psychologist within the British Psychological Society and a member of its Clinical Division.

Dr Walton specialises in the assessment and psychological intervention of adults/children with mental health problems, with a particular in interest in psychological trauma. Her Doctoral thesis was on evaluating therapies for Post-traumatic Stress Disorder.

Dr Walton completed her clinical training at the University of Manchester, where she was clinically and research supervised by Professor Adrian Wells. She has worked in several areas including Early Intervention Services for Psychosis in Blackburn and Looked After Children Services in Manchester. Dr Walton has also been involved in medico-legal assessments and report writing for several years. She currently works for Belfast Trust in its Learning Disability Psychology Service.
